The Board of Directors meeting of TR-ANB (Turkish Authorized National Body), the national authorized body established under the Gedik Education Foundation and the Turkish Welding Technology Academy, which oversees institutions providing education on behalf of the International Institute of Welding (IIW), was held on April 30 with the participation of board members. As in previous years, the purpose was to evaluate the year 2014 and plan the activities for 2015. The meeting was opened with a speech by TKTA President Dr. Mustafa Koçak.

In his speech, Dr. Mustafa Koçak provided information about Welding Engineering training programs conducted in Turkey and around the world in 2014. Additionally, the meeting addressed preliminary preparations required for the 71st IIW General Assembly, which Turkey will host in 2018 under the coordination of the Gedik Education Foundation.
