Turkish Welding Technology Academy and TR-ANB
The Turkish Academy of Welding Technology (TKTA) was established in 2008 to develop welding technology in both scientific and practical fields and to serve the industry. The Academy closely follows the technological developments in the welding sector, carries out regulation and supervision activities in this field and aims to meet the needs of the sector. Bringing together professionals working in the field of welding technology, TKTA has made it its mission to provide information sharing and technology transfer among its members and to organize various events in this direction
TKTA works in an integrated manner with TR-ANB (Turkish Authorized National Body) to move Turkey's welding industry to an internationally competitive position. TR-ANB, as an institution authorized by the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and European Welding Federation (EWF), organizes and supervises welding trainings and certification processes in Turkey in accordance with international standards . This cooperation makes it possible to spread the understanding of high quality and continuous improvement in welding technology throughout the sector.
TKTA, which provides solutions to the needs of the welding industry and guides technological developments, develops national training standards and supervises certification processes in line with a common vision with TR-ANB. The systematic training and audit processes carried out by TR-ANB increase the quality of the welding industry in Turkey while ensuring compliance with the quality management standards of IIW and EWF.
Purpose
To disseminate, expand, communicate and promote information on resources and practices for the industrial sector.
To ensure coordination between the welding industry and educational institutions and to carry out studies on the dissemination and standardization of trainings required by the welding industry throughout the country. To improve skills and efficiency in this field through training and certification programs in the field of welding .
Define general rules for the education, training, qualification and certification of resource-related personnel and rules for their implementation .
To encourage all kinds of welding technologies, applications, research, testing, invention, invention, process, method, design, design activities of the members of the Academy for the welding industry and to provide the members with the relevant tools, equipment, facilities and other facilities for this purpose.
To carry out, make and help to carry out all kinds of research, experiments, tests, technical studies, design, design, facility and factory development, machinery and processes related to welding technologies.
To conduct welding trainings and related examinations on behalf of the IIW and approve certificates in accordance with the procedures and academy rules set by the IIW.
On behalf of the IIW, to approve the functioning of educational institutions that provide education at international standards on behalf of the IIW, to audit these organizations.
To ensure coordination between the welding industry and educational institutions and to carry out studies on the dissemination and standardization of the trainings needed by the welding industry throughout the country.
To plan and carry out all kinds of international and national seminars, congresses, conferences, symposiums, trainings, courses, exhibitions, shows, meetings and other activities to support the activities of TKTA.
Support and promote sustainable environmental development within resource activities.
To develop techniques to utilize computers in the addition and design of plastics and compounds, process control, supervision and information utilization, welding in various environments and under remote control, teaching, training and qualification of personnel, new problems related to health and safety,
To carry out training activities in accordance with IIW standards in order to train International Welding Engineers, Welding Technologist, Welding Practitioner, Welding Specialist, Welder, Welding Inspector, Welding Designer, and welding personnel at all levels. For this purpose, to cooperate with universities when necessary.
Mission
The mission of the Turkish Academy of Welding Technology is to provide networking and information exchange as a global body within the framework of ethical rules in the science and practice of welding technology in cooperation with the International Institute of Welding (IIW) in accordance with the approval letter dated 04.02.2008 and numbered 6969 of the T. C. Istanbul Governorship Provincial Directorate of Associations .
Academic Activities
In order to realize its objectives, the Academy carries out the following activities.
It carries out all kinds of studies and researches related to the research and implementation of legislation, publishes , provides support and consultancy services.
It conducts national and international studies, conducts harmonization studies, prepares and publishes research projects and reports on the Academy's objectives and activities.
It organizes seminars, workshops, meetings, conferences, courses, open sessions, panels and similar activities.
By establishing relations with educational institutions that train resource personnel and managers, it organizes vocational training, meetings, courses, seminars, film shows, exhibitions, fairs, sessions, research and surveys, organizes internships and job opportunities in order to facilitate the adaptation of students to their future professions.
It establishes laboratories, workshops, factories, libraries, information banks, archives and documentation centers in accordance with the requirements of our age for the benefit of members and interested parties.
In order to promote the Academy on international platforms and strengthen its relations, participates in organizations to be organized in foreign countries, cooperates, conducts research and studies.
It works to ensure that the academy and its members can benefit from opportunities such as foreign loans etc.
In order to achieve its objectives, the Academy may engage in joint activities and cooperation with national and international private and public institutions and universities, chambers, foundations, associations, unions and professional organizations, carry out joint studies, make agreements and receive and provide assistance from them, participate as a member in organizations established in and outside the country.
In order to carry out the activities of the Academy and to increase service effectiveness and efficiency , the Academy shall carry out monetary transactions that will increase the income of the Academy within legal practices without aiming to make a profit in accordance with the legal procedures of the Academy . In order to generate income for the Academy, the Academy, together with the Foundation, establishes or participates in economic enterprises that will operate according to ordinary business principles, may operate them directly or lease them to an operator under supervision.
The Academy may, together with the Foundation, acquire, establish, abandon or terminate all kinds of real and personal rights such as easement, shuf'a, etc. and lease on real estates, including mortgages, in relation to the activities in accordance with its purpose. It makes all kinds of constructions in line with the objectives of the Academy .
The Academy hires and dismisses instructors, consultants, auditors, commissioners, managers, secretaries and other employees as may be necessary to carry out its activities.
