Founded in 1948, IIW (International Institute of Welding) and EWF (European Welding Federation) founded in 1992, IAB (International Authorization Board) is an independent Qualification and Certification body that audits the activities of organizations working on welding.
TR-ANB (Turkish Authorized National/Nominated Body) is an international organization established within the framework of IAB rules with the joint participation of Gedik Education and Social Aid Foundation (GEV) and Turkish Welding Technology Academy (TKTA), but operating in a completely independent structure administratively and operationally. TR-ANB acts within the framework of its own quality management system and takes all decisions independently.
TR-ANB, which is the only authority authorized by IIW and EWF in Turkey, has the authority to approve and supervise the institutions providing training in the field of welding (ATB - Approved Training Body / Authorized Training Institution). The trainings carried out in ATBs are carried out under the direct supervision of TR-ANB. Exams are conducted by independent examiners within the framework of the rules determined by TR-ANB and evaluated by TR-ANB. Internationally recognized diplomas are issued by TR-ANB for candidates who pass all exams.
Thanks to this structure, TR-ANB ensures that the trainings given in Turkey in the fields of welding engineering and related specialties comply with international standards. Thus, it makes a significant contribution to the training of globally recognized welding experts in Turkey.
